• Configured, customized and installed monitor and control (process & control) systems in deployable KU earth terminals for large government contracts.

• Provided maintenance and support of the monitor and control systems in the field for multiple international customers.

• Documented monitor and control systems in a reference usage manual that was distributed to all customers.

• Converted a legacy system to work on a Windows NT platform for the Reservations department.
• Enhanced a VRU to meet pilot contract negotiated changes.
• Worked with a team of software engineers and analysts to design, implement and support Interactive Voice Response Systems (IVR or VRU) for internal departments and customers.
• Enhanced or developed 11 VRUs for Reservation, Ticketing, Crew Systems, Payroll, Finance and Skymiles departments which off loaded millions of calls for these departments.
• Coordinated successful VRU system installations in Atlanta and other Delta hub cities, which involved getting racks set up to hold the PCs, getting the Novell networks setup with the host gateways connected to Deltamatic (Delta’s mainframe), identifying equipment specifications and phone requirements to telecommunication groups in various locations.

Senior Programmer      1984-1993

• Designed, created and maintained common databases in Clipper, for about 50% of the IVR's which have been installed.

• Created and designed menu driven small database systems for different departments which helped users to easily update, maintain and use their databases.

• Designed and implemented software for Delta’s “DeltaStar” product, a PC based function for travel agencies, written in C and assembler, which acted as a PC ‘front end’ for the Deltamatic mainframe.

• Served as configuration manager for a team of 50+ programmers when  “DeltaStar” code was ready to go into production.

• Participated in conversion of Pan Am's Touchscreen Automated Ticketing Machines durring cutover of Pan Am shuttle to Delta, involving re-writing C code, BASIC and Siemans' Nixdorf's API's for the touch-screen interface.

• Designed and implemented software for Delta Reservations and Operations systems using TPF, assembler and SabreTalk (a variation of PL1) programming languages.
• Worked on projects for Technical Operations Center, Flight Control, AWABS (Airline Weights and Balances), and BARTS (Boarding and Revenue Tracking system).
